Interpreting
The Moscow Translation Agency provides the following interpreting services:
- consecutive interpretation (special and general business negotiations and meetings, guidance of foreign partners, translation support for exhibitions and presentations, guest guidance, personal guidance in business trips and cruises);
- simultaneous interpreting;
- telephone negotiations with foreign partners;
- interpretation of theatrical performances and movies.
Сonsecutive interpretation
During consecutive interpretation a speaker makes logical pauses giving the interpreter time to convey the meaning of what has been said in a foreign language. As a rule, consecutive interpretation is quite effective at the events with just a few participants.
Simultaneous interpreting
This type of interpreting is mostly used at negotiations, conferences and congresses. In this case a sound proof cabinet is provided for the interpreter, and special equipment is used. The simultaneous interpreters work in pairs or in ternaries regularly changing, for simultaneous interpreting requires the highest concentration and ability to listen, remember and interpret what is being said simultaneously or a few seconds behind the speaker.
This is very hard and stressful work. Even the best simultaneous interpreters, as a rule, can not guarantee full correspondence of the interpretation to the original text. Therefore, we always ask our customers for the text of the speech beforehand: this considerably facilitates the interpreter’s work, and the interpretation will be maximally correct. This is especially important for technical negotiations where many highly specialized technical terms are used.
Simultaneous interpreting is considered to be the most difficult type of interpretation, and accordingly it is one of the most highly-paid.
At the Moscow Translation Agency You may order not only a simultaneous interpreter but also the necessary equipment. We are to select the pair of interpreters with respect to the type of event requiring interpretation (business, politics, banking, medicine, technics, etc.), set the equipment up according to the requirements of Your company (security, etc.). If you have none of the necessary equipment at your company or at the premises of the event — the “MTA” agency will take this concern upon itself, provide and set up all the necessary equipment.
Special equipment for the simultaneous interpreting includes:

- radio-earphone kit;
- microphones;
- amplifying devices.
